TDS - Train Detection

NGRT TDS is the core intelligence for all NGRT Applications, and patented globally. All NGRT Applications are designed to increase safety and reduce risk for train operators and infrastructure managers.

 

The solution is based upon novel technology with a huge innovative factor that gives a significant cost advantage over traditional warning systems. The TDS is based on attaching a Vibration Detection Unit (VDU) onto the rail, which transmits vibration & signals propagated from the rails back to the Main Assembly for further processing and analyses.

The TDS is capable of detecting any approaching rolling stock whether its fast, slow, heavy, light, long or short at any given point in the railway infrastructure and give precise location, direction, speed and timeline at the designated location where any activity can be performed, such as given notice to public, operate any wayside equipment and keep the Operation Control Centre updated.
